When we received the invites for Marius & Helene’s wedding we knew that this would be a very special wedding but nothing could prepare us for what we what saw upon arrival… The farm Florence outside Chrissiesmeer is a lush multi facet farm and also the home of the Florence venue – especially built by Helene’s parents for her big day. What a day it turned out to be! The venue has a mix of afro shick, french and farm style feel combined and was done in such a beautifully simple yet striking manner. With the decor carefully chosen and arranged to add even more to this already amazing venue. With dams and trees everywhere you look we were ecstatic about the amazing backdrop we had to document this love story.

Lets talk family and love! Now there is a trait of Afrikaans people that is very true to them and that is that they are amazing hosts and mom Ane is a perfect example of this! Good heart, very friendly, funny, wholesome and ready to help if needed. This trait is carried right through this whole family and one thing it is clear that Helene & Marius will carry this right through with their little minni Helene & Marius’s! The love part is as clear as daylight; the really love each other. Plain and simple as that.There is so much more to say and show but this is one of those cases that you just had top be there to fully comprehend.

We would also just like to give a huge thumbs up to Garnish Couture who were responsible for a wedding dress that suited this natural beauty perfectly and wow did they manage to design something exquisite!

NEED WE SAY MORE!
What a magical day 10 September 2011 was! With a “Durban July” feel the bridesmaids fitted in perfectly with the setting with adorable hats and dashing purple dresses! We were moved by the tears in Kobus’s eyes while he waited for his blushing bride to come down the isle. Leandi on the other hand was a glowing bride excited to start her and Kobus’s life together as man and wife, definitely proud of her husband who absolutely adores her.

I would like to start this post with a beautiful quote by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry:

Life has taught us that love does not consist only in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction. Gabriel & Joanne this quote must have been inspired by the love you two have for each other!  

  
New Town was the perfect setting for the couple and wedding party photo’s, with the graffiti walls, architecture and painters busy beautifying [our new word for the day] New Town. It was a perfect backdrop for capturing these spontaneous people! Even Joanne’s sister broken foot could not hold her back from the excitement of this BIG day!

Ingrid & Rynau had a beautiful wedding at a lovely venue; kwalata.

Ingrid looked amazing in her dress, and Rynau’s face glowed with a permanent smile on his face, but who wouldn’t smile with a bride like Ingrid next to you??  

As for the bridesmaids, what a load of fun it was taking photos of them, they were up for anything. Thanks for been such sports girls, you made my job easy!!
